About Me!
-
I am a first-generation American whose parents worked hard to purchase a home and up-zone it to 2 units, which has provided my legally-blind, widowed mother with stability.
-
I am a Board Director of NAHREP and advocate locally and nationally for more housing and better public transportation.
-
Myself and my mother organized a charity for blind children to provide warmth and comfort during Christmas time.
-
My mother and I participate in a cross-border family-reunification project, joining parents and children together after more than 30 years apart.
-
I work with CAL Habitat for Humanity to help build housing projects.
-
I am passionate about closing the education gap in our public schools and equitably distributing funds based on population and need.
-
I speak English, Spanish and basic Mandarin Chinese
-
I say yes to life as much as I can and I hope you can too.
